Arizona State University
The Thirteenth Territorial Legislature established Arizona State University (ASU) in 1885 as the Territorial Normal School to provide education in mechanical arts and agriculture. ASU now has 17 colleges and institutions that provide over 350 undergraduate programmes and majors, as well as over 450 graduate programmes and certificates. STEM, accelerated, concurrent, and joint programmes are available at the university.

Cost of attendance

ASU charges $54,593 USD (40.77 lakh INR) for bachelor's programmes and 48,555 USD (36.26 lakh INR) for master's programmes. Students in need of financial assistance can apply for need-based scholarships from Arizona State University.


Freshmen are required to live in a residential college community on campus. The students reside in fully equipped rooms on campus, close to their majors. A friendly environment and all-inclusive housing are among the advantages of living on campus. Upper-division housing is offered on their selected school for upper-division students. On-campus housing costs range from 4,000 to 19,000 USD per academic year. The typical monthly rent for off-campus housing is between 750 and 950 USD.

The university has a total of 56958 students enrolled. More than 13,015 international students from 136 countries were enrolled on an ASU campus. Admission to Arizona State University is lightly selective, with an acceptance rate of 88 percent.


ASU has four campuses in the Phoenix metropolitan area and one in Lake Havasu City. Students can participate in on-campus research programmes and internships in a variety of subjects. Students from 50 states, 136 nations, 230 tribal nations, and 13,000 international students make up the student body. Students can also become members of the ASU mentor network. ASU has over 1,000 student clubs and organisations that engage students in fitness and recreation activities, among other things. LGBTQIA+, sports, women, indigenous organisations, and other club categories are examples.


Arizona State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
