Baylor University
The charter for Baylor University was issued by the president of the Republic of Texas in 1845. The university is the state's longest-running educational institution. It is a prominent Christian private university. Through its 12 schools and colleges, Baylor University now offers 127 undergraduate, 78 master's, and 46 doctoral programmes, as well as a wide range of professional and education specialisation programmes.
