Cambrian College, founded in 1967, has long been the leading post-secondary institution in Northern Ontario. Cambrian College was established as a trade school during the establishment of Ontario's college system. It started with university sites at Sault Ste. Marie, North Bay, and Sudbury. Cambrian College currently offers over 80 programmes with three flexible options: full-time programmes, part-time programmes, and flex learning modes. Health sciences, nursing, and emergency services, skilled trades training, engineering technology, creative arts, music, and design, law and justice, business and information technology, and environmental studies are the key fields in which the institution provides numerous courses.
