Concordia University was founded in 1974 as a result of the amalgamation of two major universities, Sir George Williams University and Loyola College. The University is a public research university in the centre of Montreal, Canada's world-class city. The university is ranked among the best in Quebec and Canada for both international and domestic students. Concordia University now has 300 undergraduate and 100 graduate programmes and courses spread among four faculties, a graduate school, and other colleges and centres.

Accommodation

Grey Nuns Residence, Hingston Hall (HA), Hingston Hall (HB), and Jesuit Residence are the institute's four on-campus residence halls, each having all of the basic and modern amenities for its students. All first-year undergraduate students are required to live on campus. The average cost of on-campus living is roughly $6,550. The typical cost of off-campus living is between $1,000 and $1,500 USD per month.

Campus

Concordia University is separated into two campuses: Loyola and Sir George Williams (Main Campus), which are located in the Notre-Dame-de-Grace neighbourhood, and Quartier Concordia, which is located in downtown Montreal. Concordia University offers 13 varsity sports and clubs to its students, allowing them to live an active lifestyle. With a greater than 95% employment rate, the institute promises its graduates one of the highest-paying positions in Canada. Executive management, financial services, media, communication, education and research, and project management are among the highest-paying industries. Concordia University reported employment rates of more than 90% across disciplines, including Accenture, Maison Battat, Air Canada, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Samsung, Intertape Polymer Group, and others as main recruiters.
