Concordia University was founded in 1974 as a result of the amalgamation of two major universities, Sir George Williams University and Loyola College. Concordia University has 300 undergraduates and 100 graduate programmes and courses spread among four faculties, a graduate school, and other colleges and centres. The Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science programme at Concordia has grown by approximately 400 percent and is soon becoming the programme of choice for international students.

Accommodation

For its students, the institute provides four on-campus housing halls equipped with all basic and modern amenities. All first-year undergraduate students are required to live on campus. Grey Nuns Residence, Hingston Hall (HA), Hingston Hall (HB), and Jesuit Residence are the university's residences. While Grey Nuns lodging is on the Sir George Williams site, Hingston Hall and Jesuit Residence are on the Loyola Campus and are overseen by Resident Life Assistants and Managers. On-campus accommodation costs from $710.47 to $1,243.00 per night. The average monthly rent for off-campus living is from $650 to $800.

Campus

Concordia University is separated into two campuses: Loyola and Sir George Williams (Main Campus), which are located in the Notre-Dame-de-Grace neighbourhood, and Quartier Concordia, which is located in downtown Montreal. Full-time students registered at the institute are offered with discounted monthly metro passes to make travel more affordable and convenient for the students. Concordia University offers 13 varsity sports and clubs to its students, allowing them to live an active lifestyle. Montreal's diverse culture is well-known for its language, food, music, fashion, and cinema.
