Cranfield University, founded in 1946 as the College of Aeronautics, had significant growth in aircraft design and research during the 1950s and 1960s. Cranfield University's Cranfield campus is home to the Schools of Aerospace, Transport, and Manufacturing, Cranfield School of Management, and Water, Energy, and Environment. The school is strategically placed in the English countryside, within walking distance of bars, shops, a post office, a sports complex, and banks. Hartley's Bar, Cranberries, Cost Coffee, and other student-friendly restaurants and cafes can be found on the Cranfield campus. Students can also pursue their interests through a variety of sports and fitness clubs on campus. Cranfield defence and security are housed on the Shrivenham campus. Students from all over the world enrol in the defence academy.

Accredition

They are one of an elite group of schools worldwide to hold the triple accreditation of: AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), AMBA (the Association of MBAs) and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System).

Jobs and Placement

The university career development programmes help students and alumni members improve their professional opportunities. Within six months of graduation, more than 96 percent of Cranfield graduates were employed or enrolled in further education. Throughout the year, the institution hosts a number of career events at which over 300 industry partners participate. Cranfield University graduates earn an average salary of 19 lakhs.
