The Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) is a state-owned tertiary education school having three campuses in New Zealand: Hawke's Bay, Auckland, and Gisborne. EIT Hawke's Bay, EIT Tairwhiti, and EIT Auckland are other names for it. EIT is the primary regional higher education facility for the Hawke's Bay and Gisborne areas. Today, EIT provides over 130 academic programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a variety of areas. In addition, the university provides short courses, certificate, and diploma programmes in a variety of fields.

Accommodation

Students at the university can opt to live in the Student Village or in a homestay with a New Zealander. The Student Village (SV) is a self-catering complex comprised of 12 villas, each housing six students. The SV is a multi-cultural community setting that caters to more self-sufficient students. It includes the cost of lodging, which is approximately $10,117. The typical monthly rent for off-campus living is between 800 and 1000 NZD.

Campus

EIT's main campus is located in a Napier City neighbourhood in the Hawke's Bay region. It is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and architecture, making it an ideal learning environment for pupils. There are also two satellite campuses in Auckland and Gisborne. Aside from that, EIT runs a number of learning centres throughout the city where educational programmes are offered. The campus has well-kept buildings, pathways, parking lots, and recreational and green spaces. Smart classrooms, lecture halls, high-tech laboratories, and practical rooms are among the great academic facilities and services provided by the university to assist effective learning and teaching.
