George Brown College
George Brown College was founded in 1967 and was named after George Brown, a newspaper entrepreneur and politician. George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology is another name for it. Sally Horsfall Eaton was the college's first chancellor. The college is renowned for being the first to use a distant education system. George Brown College now provides over 162 programmes classified into undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, certificate, and diploma levels.
