Lehigh University, founded in 1865, is a private research university. Asa Packer, a businessman, founded this organisation. Goodman campus spans 500 acres and features the 6,000-seat Stabler Athletic and Convocation Center, the Philip Rauch Field House, the Cundey Varsity House, the Lewis Indoor Tennis Facility, and the Ulrich Sports Complex. In 1986, Lehigh purchased the Mountaintop campus from Bethlehem Steel Corp. The property has 670 acres of woodland and a 72-acre research site with eight structures, including a signature tower visible for miles.
