Michigan Technological University
Founded in 1885, Michigan Technological University is a public research university. It is located in the little town of Houghton on Lake Superior's Keweenaw Peninsula, approximately 100 miles north of Wisconsin's borders. International students are welcome to study in any of the university's 140 bachelor's, master's, and doctorate programmes.

On campus, 600+ students participate in music and fine arts, and the Visual Arts Talent Award Scholarship is available to those who actively participate in arts during their college years. Students enjoy full access to Mont Ripley ski and snowboard slope, Portage Lake Golf Course, Gates Tennis Center, Department of Visual and Performing Arts events, hockey games, and intramural sports for a semester fee of 93 USD.
