MSOE, or the Milwaukee School of Engineering, is a private institution in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Oscar Werwath founded it in 1903 and first called it the School of Engineering. Werwath's goal was to address workforce challenges in the expanding engineering industry. The college offers 16 four-year certifications through its eight academic departments, ten of which are in engineering. Despite its emphasis on undergraduate education, the college also offers 11 graduate degrees in business, engineering, and nursing.

Loock Hall, Johnson Hall, and Regents Hall are the three residence halls at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. All freshmen and sophomores are obliged to live in one of the residence halls on campus. Our suite-style living hall is available to upperclassmen and honours students. MSOE charges separate fees for lodging and eating. In 2020, the average on-campus housing costs for a normal student was $6,126, and the average eating plan was $4,659. Off-campus accommodation costs roughly 1000 to 1500 USD per month on average.

Acceptance rate

The university has a total of 2823 students enrolled. The student body is made up of 162 foreign students from 27 different nations. Milwaukee School of Engineering admissions are more selective, with a 60% acceptance rate.

Campus

The Milwaukee School of Engineering campus spans 22 acres and is located in the East Town district of downtown Milwaukee. A short distance from school are the lovely Lake Michigan, a theatre district, a museum, sports, music venues, parks, retail areas, and so on. Students can congregate at the campus centre for games, pool, dining, and socialising. More than 90 recognised student clubs at the university encourage activities outside of the classroom. MSOE organisations are predominantly faith-based, government, Greek, honour societies, inclusion and diversity, outdoor and recreation, political, professional, service and civic engagement, social, and STEM.

Jobs and Placement

Milwaukee School of Engineering graduates have a higher rate of placement. Career Services aids students, graduates, alumni, and staff with job searching, establishing strong interview skills, effective networking skills, preparing for career fairs, and obtaining a handshake and LinkedIn profile. Before graduation, over 80-85 percent of students completed at least one internship. MSOE graduates receive an average beginning income of 66,400 USD, according to US News and World Report.
