Monash University, located in Melbourne, Australia, is a public research university that was founded in 1958. It is the state of Victoria's second oldest university. Monash University is a member of Australia's 'Group of Eight,' an alliance of the country's leading research universities. Monash University's faculties include the Faculty of Art Design & Architecture (MADA), the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Information Technology, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Faculty of Science.
