New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT)
The New Jersey Institute of Technology, or NJIT, is the state's public polytechnic university. NJIT was founded in 1881 as Newark Technical School and renamed in 1975. Today, admission is available to almost 160 programmes at New Jersey Institute of Technology, including bachelor's, master's, accelerated master's, double majors, and several doctoral programmes. The institution educates students through its six schools and colleges.
