The New School is a private research university. It was founded in 1919 as The New School for Social Research and afterwards renamed The New School University. The New School provides 134 degree and certificate programmes in numerous fields at the undergraduate, graduate, and PhD levels. Campus

The New School urban campus is located in the centre of New York City's Greenwich Village and has 20,000 square feet of amenities. There are over 40 student clubs and organisations, as well as over 1,300 public programmes, intramural sports, athletics, and weekly fitness classes. Students have access to medical and counselling services on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
