Northern College
Northern College opened its doors in 1967. Every year in February, all students, with the exception of first semester students, are required to complete a survey rating their satisfaction with campus programmes and events. Students can provide feedback about their classmates, the collegiate environment, and the staff members who work on campus. The institution now provides more than 75 full-time, part-time, certificate, diploma, web-based, correspondence, and apprenticeship programmes.

Timmins Campus Residence and Haileybury Campus Residence are the two residences at Northern College. Acceptance rate

Northern College has an above-average acceptance rate and enrols roughly 1,500 students in full-time academic programmes and over 11,000 students in part-time and continuing education programmes. The college's acceptance of international students is entirely dependent on an applicant's candidacy and qualifications.


Timmins Campus, Moosonee Campus, Kirkland Lake Campus, and Haileybury Campus are the university's four campuses in Ontario. Kirkland Lake Campus was the first in North America to be accredited by the International Institute of Welding (IIW). The contemporary Veterinary Sciences Centre at Haileybury Campus is well-known among students. Haileybury Campus is located close to the beautiful Rock Walk Park and can accommodate privately owned and run residences. Timmins features both urban and rural architecture, as well as world-class museums and the Timmins Symphony Orchestra. Moosonee Campus serves James Bay coastal communities by offering high-skills training in technology, trades, and apprenticeship programmes.


It holds many prestigious affiliations such as CCAA, ACCC, and AUCC.

Jobs and Placement

Ontario's Employment Services within the college offers strong job possibilities to job seekers and helps employers identify qualified personnel. The Canada-Ontario Job Grant provides small and big enterprises with a grant of $10,000 CAD. This award funds 83 percent of eligible worker training in enterprises with fewer than 100 employees and 50 percent of training in firms with more than 100 employees.
