Seattle Central College is a public university located in Seattle, Washington. It is one of three colleges that make up the Seattle Colleges District, along with North and South Seattle Colleges. The Foreign Education Programs division serves a sizable international student population, and the Basic and Transitional Studies division serves a sizable immigrant and refugee community. Campus

Seattle Central College is an urban campus located on Seattle's Capitol Hill, along Broadway and west of Cal Anderson Park. The college is housed in ten buildings. The five-story Broadway-Edison Building, which stands south of the four-story Science and Math Building, is its major edifice. The four-story Mitchell Activity Center, a bookshop, and on-campus housing for international students are located west of the Broadway-Edison building; to the south are the three-story Broadway Performance Hall, the South Plaza, and the five-story Fine Arts Building. A three-story South Annex, Erickson Theater, and Siegal Center are all located in the southern area of campus.

Jobs and Placement

The institution provides a placement test that is designed to identify a student's strengths and weaknesses and to help determine where a student is ready to begin their math and English studies. A placement test differs from most typical assessments in that there is no "pass" or "fail" option. Some Seattle Central programmes have strict placement exam score requirements. (For example, many programmes demand English 101 competence.) Graduates of Seattle Central College earn an average base salary of $22k.
