Southern New Hampshire University was founded in 1932 as the New Hampshire School of Accounting and Secretarial Science as a for-profit university. In 1963, the university received its charter, or the power to confer degrees. Southern New Hampshire University now provides over 70 undergraduate degrees and 10 graduate programmes in both on-campus and online formats.
