St. George's University of London, founded in 1733, is an open research university affiliated with the University of London and St George's Hospital. The university is credited with being the first in the United Kingdom to provide a four-year curriculum in medical science. The university began construction of a hospital in its first year. St George's University of London now provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional degrees in medicine and health care. B.Sc. degrees are available in a variety of fields, including radiotherapy, paramedic science, physiotherapy, clinical pharmacology, healthcare science, and many others. Aside from that, M.Sc. and M.Res. programmes in Global Health, Genomic Medicine, Biomedical Science, and other fields are available.

St George's University provides on-campus housing for students in residence halls and Horton Halls, which are approximately 15 minutes from the main campus. There are 332 regular rooms with a single bed and 154 premium rooms with a modest double bed in the hall. The weekly pricing for accommodation will be £180 for a normal room (single bed) and £190 for a premium room (double bed). The average off-campus rent is 500 to 700 Pounds per month.

Every year, around 5,500 students enrol at the university, with international students accounting for 26 percent of all students enrolled. The acceptance rate is 40%.


The St George's University of London campus is in Tooting, south London. The University is located on the same site as St George's Hospital, which is home to Channel 4's 24 hours in A&E. It is completely equipped with cutting-edge instructional technology. The campus has two coffee shops, three cafes, an M&S store, and a restaurant. A student union store and a Whistle Store are also available. The Student Union has several recreational areas, including a music room, a gaming room, and a welfare room. The student union also houses over 100 student groups and organisations committed to a variety of interests.


Officially recognized/chartered by the Privy Council, St George's, University of London (SGUL) is a small coeducational UK higher education institution.

St George's University of London's Career Support Centre assists students and graduates with their careers. The Centre provides tools such as a CV, cover letter, job application writing guidance, timetable workshops, and one-on-one career counselling, among other things. St George's graduates receive an average starting salary of 27,000 GBP. Over 95% of grads find work within 6 months after graduating from college.
