Teesside Institution, founded in 1930, is an open technical university affiliated with the University Alliance. Previously, the university was known as the Constantine Technical University. It was granted university status in 1992, and the degree programmes offered at the university were recognised by the University of London. Today, there are around 300 UG and PG programmes: Prospective students can select from 250+ UG degree and certificate programmes and 170+ PG degree programmes.

Thousands of books, research papers, periodicals, and technical e-books are housed in the library. There are also numerous restaurants, cafes, chemist shops, and department stores near the school. All necessary services are available to students. The university is easily accessible via public transportation.

Accredition

Teesside is one of only a few universities in the UK to have been awarded the nationally recognised Customer First accreditation for its services to business.

Jobs and Placement

The university's graduation employment rate is fairly good, at 95 percent. Teesside University's career and employability team assists students in planning their future jobs by providing advice on interviews, job searches, and applications. They help students locate jobs, meet with employers on campus, and provide volunteer opportunities to develop experience. Several virtual events are arranged to meet employers offering employment and placements and to provide the most up-to-date advise on job search, applications, assessment centres, and interviews. Employees with a degree from the University of Teesside earn an average of 22 lakhs.
