University Canada West is a for-profit private university located in British Columbia, Canada. David F. Strong, the former president of the University of Victoria, launched it in 2005. UCW was purchased by the Eminata Group in 2008 and sold to Global University Systems in 2014. Today, University Canada West admits students to three undergraduate programmes, a world-renowned ACBSP programme, and an NCMA-accredited MBA programme at the graduate level.

University Canada West has partnered with 4stay, a SaaS-enabled marketplace for student and intern housing, to provide students with a range of homes and inexpensive rooms for rent around the University campus and Greater Vancouver. Campus

University Canada West has two campuses in downtown Vancouver: New Vancouver House and West Pender. Its other site, the London Building History, occupies six floors of the heritage-designated structure and is within a few steps from public transportation, which includes the Waterfront SkyTrain Station, the SeaBus Terminal, and bus routes. UCW's student body is made up of up to 52 different nationalities. The typical class size is between 20 and 22 students.

Accredition

The university is accredited by the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training, and carries the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) accreditation under the 2003 Degree Authorization Act.

At UCW, 88% of MBA graduates find work within three months after graduation. The institution offers free practical training on networking skills and personal branding.
