University of Adelaide
The University of Adelaide is an open university that was founded in 1874 and is the third oldest university in Australia. The institution conferred its first degree, the Bachelor of Arts, in 1876. It is also the first institution in Australia to elect a woman to the University Council. The University of Adelaide South Australia now has 5 faculties and offers over 400 undergraduate and graduate courses. The most popular programmes are the MSc in Computer Science and the MBA.

Cost of attendance

The average annual cost of attending the University of Adelaide is 60,000 AUD (33 lakhs), which includes tuition and living expenses. To help offset the high cost of living and tuition, students can get tuition fee waivers ranging from 15% to 50% through university scholarships.


The University only has on-campus housing on the Roseworthy campus, although it partners with specific residential homes and provides it to students to make their search easier. The University of Adelaide Village, Mattanya Student Residences, and Roseworthy Residential College are the several residency options. On-campus housing costs between $7,750 to $14,820 AUD. A single student should expect to pay between 480 and 1760 AUD per month for off-campus living.

Around 70,000 students attend Adelaide's four universities, including around 20,000 international students. The University of Adelaide has a 75% acceptance rate.


The university has four campuses, the biggest one being North Terrace. It is bordered by the South Australian Art Gallery. The campus is completely covered in flora. Bonython Hall, a well-known historic structure, shares the campus with Elder Hall, Mitchell Building, Ligertwood Building, and Napier Building. All four campuses are adjacent to restaurants and cafes, medical stores, and a variety of other establishments that supply students with essential necessities. Additionally, the North Terrace facility provides housing for both students and faculty members. The site also includes the well-known Barr Smith Library.


They are in a group of less than 5% of business schools globally to be AACSB accredited.

The University's career centre assists students in developing their talents and connecting with businesses. In addition, the centre strives to improve employability skills through resume writing, mock interviews, and career coaching. Students are given access to online portals and virtual employment resources where they can post their resumes and employers can select eligible applicants.
