Accommodation

There are three student communities with a total population of 5,100 students, including both PG and UG students. There are around 7,000 rooms available for students, with the institute owning 75% of them and the balance in partnership. Shared, ensuite, studio, studio apartment, and other types of rooms are offered. On-campus housing is projected to cost between 102 and 215 pounds. The typical monthly rent for off-campus housing is 600 to 700 pounds. Studio apartments, three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom apartments, and communal apartments are among the residential types.

With over 8,700 international students from approximately 150 countries, the total number of students enrolled at the university are 35070. The acceptance rate is 79.2 %.

Campus

The university campus spans two locations and covers an area of 176 hectares. The Institute contains libraries with over 1.8 million print and 500,000 online volumes, as well as over 85,000 print and online periodicals, to assist students with their studies. Winterbourne House and Garden, which adds to the splendour of the University, is only a 15-minute walk from University Station. It is a 7-acre botanical garden with about 6,000 plant species. Students can choose from over 500 student clubs and organisations.

Accredition

Birmingham Business School, along with just a handful of the world's business schools, holds the gold standard of 'triple-crown' accreditation from the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), AMBA (Association of MBAs) and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System).

Jobs and Placement

All graduates receive career counselling from the institute. Graduates have access to Careers Network's full range of career support for up to two years after graduation. All students have access to career counselling, resume assistance, interview assistance, and every other service required for a successful career. The average salary of University of Birmingham graduates is 33,845 GBP per year, according to payscale. Among the well-known companies that hire students are IBM, Capgemini, Peter Brett Associates, and others.
