The University of Brighton was founded in 1858 as the Brighton College of Art and received university status in 1992. It is a public university with four campuses. The University of Brighton has two faculties: Arts and Architecture and Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences. It now provides undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in over 500 different disciplines of study. At the master's level, there are 23 PGCE programmes available, as well as three placement and sandwich degrees. Furthermore, Sussex offers a number of 100% online master's degrees.

Campus

The Sussex only campus is in Falmer, Brighton, UK, close to the main international airports of Gatwick and Heathrow. The South Downs National Park surrounds the school, making it a lush open environment. There includes a library, restaurants and cafes, banking and ATMs, health centres, child care facilities, launderette conferences, pharmacy, dentists, and many other campus facilities. Sussex offers over 300 student-led organisations and clubs, as well as 42 sports teams, for students to participate in. Both the Sports Centre (SC) and the Falmer Sports Complex (FSC) have remarkable sports facilities.
