University of Calgary
The university was founded in 1966. The University of Calgary's 14 faculties provide over 250 programmes across its five sites. At the undergraduate level, UCalgary offers more than 110 majors. It also provides over 70 graduate and certification programmes.

Cost of attendance

Prospective international students must pay an application fee of 125 CAD for undergraduate programmes and 145 CAD for graduate programmes. The average cost of attending the University of Calgary is 12,000 Canadian dollars (7.1 lakh Indian rupees).


Because the majority of undergraduate and graduate students live on campus, the University of Calgary provides a variety of residential options. On-campus housing is available for around 2,500 students and faculty personnel. In the dormitory-style housing, students under the age of 21 are assigned a single or double occupancy room. The university's Qatar Campus is home to 450 students from 39 different nations. The institution also features studios, one, two, or three-bedroom units with full kitchens for third-year undergraduates, graduate, transfer, and international students who want to live more independently. The University of Calgary has five campuses around the world, four in Calgary and one in Doha. The main campus is located in Calgary's northwest region and houses 11 of the 14 faculties. In 2007, the University of Calgary Qatar Campus opened in Doha, Qatar. Nursing degrees are available at both the bachelor's and master's levels. The Foothills Campus is home to sophisticated medical research, as well as the Cumming School of Medicine and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The Haskayne School of Business and The School of Public Policy are located on the Downtown Campus. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Sciences Research Station, and Wildlife Research Station are all located on Spy Hill Campus.


All of the University of Calgary's undergraduate engineering programs are accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board.
