The University of Glasgow was founded by papal edict in 1451. It is the fourth-oldest university in Scotland and the fourth-oldest institution in the United States. The University of Glasgow is one of the eight ancient universities in the United Kingdom that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in popular disciplines. The institution is divided into four colleges: The College of Science and Engineering, the College of Arts, the College of Medical, Veterinary, and Life Sciences, and the College of Social Sciences.

Accommodation

The University of Glasgow has 11 residence halls (three on the Dumfries campus) and a student apartment home. There are separate housing options for UG and PG students. The institution also permits students to hunt for on-campus short-term housing for up to 9 rooms and 1-30 days. The kind of accommodation, level of education, and hall of residence chosen all influence the cost of living. Only one residence hall is catered and offers a full supper. Aside from on-campus living, international students can live in a variety of other types of student housing accessible in the UK. Campus

The University of Glasgow is divided into three campuses. International students who want to be a part of the university community. Gilmorehill Campus, the University's main campus, is located in Glasgow's west end. It is home to the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery. Garscube Campus is a This campus, located 4 miles from the main campus, is home to four research institutes in the college of medical, veterinary, and life science, the school of veterinary medicine, and an outdoor sports facility. Dumfries Campus is located in southwest Scotland and houses the School of Interdisciplinary Studies. Glasgow's Gilmore and Garscube campuses are surrounded by bars, clubs, public gardens, nightclubs, parks, and cafes. Dumfries is surrounded by 85 acres of gardens and parkland.

Accredition

They are triple accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Accreditation is awarded to universities which offer both a high standard of teaching and a high quality degree: AACSB focuses on overall quality and continuous improvement of our degree programmes. Only 36 business schools in the UK are currently accredited.

Jobs and Placement

It is a founder member of Universitas 21 and a member of the Rusell group of 24 major research universities in the United Kingdom. It is also the city of Glasgow's top employment. Despite the university's graduate employability rankings ranging from 131 to 140, 95.9 percent of its graduates are either employed or seeking additional education within a year of graduation. Bachelor's degree holders earn an average of 47,000 GBP each year.
