University of Idaho
The University of Idaho is a land-grant research university that is owned by the state of Idaho. It was founded in 1889 by the regional assembly and served as the state's lone university for 71 years, until 1963. The institute began classes in 1892 with 40 pupils. Today, The University of Idaho offers over 150 academic programmes, including majors, minors, and certificates. The university's colleges of Agricultural and Life Sciences, Education, Health and Human Services, Engineering, Natural Resources, Art and Architecture, Letters, Arts, and Social Science, Science, and Business and Economics offer all academic programmes.

The Recreation and Wellbeing Department of the University of Idaho provides activities, services, facilities, and equipment to enhance the university learning experience. Among the programmes available are fitness, intramural sports, outdoor programmes, sports clubs, the Vandal Spirit Squad, and Vandal Health Education. There are around 170 student clubs and organisations on campus. The University of Idaho Library is the state's largest library, with over a million books and almost a thousand print and online magazines.


The University of Idaho is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
