The University of Portsmouth is an open university located in the city of Portsmouth. The Park building, which dates back to 1908, was built as a community college and public library. The Further and Higher Education Act granted the university university status in 1992. Through its five faculties, the institution provides 199 UG, 145 PG-taught, 50 PG research degrees, and 123 short courses. Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries, Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Science and Health, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Technology are among them.

Campus

The University of Portsmouth has two campuses: University Quarter and Langstone. The University Quarter and Langstone campuses are both close to the Portsmouth Guildhall and Milton areas. The University Quarter is the city's main campus, located in the heart of the city, and offers students all of the requirements as well as a cultural experience. The campus has ten food establishments, including the University Learning Centre Café, Library Coffee Shop, Café Coco, Portland Coffee Shop, and others. The Langstone Campus is the smallest of the two. The campus offers sports fields and a restaurant for students.
