The following are some of Virginia Tech's residence halls: Pearson Hall East and West are in the Upper Quad. Standard rooms in these residence halls are shared by two students. Oak Lane is made up of 19 buildings that house the campus' fraternities and sororities. They also have sports grounds, basketball courts, and a pavilion. Oak Lane's rooms are suite-style with a common bath. Only freshmen are obliged to live on campus and pay the on-campus resident hall cost at Virginia Tech.
