Webster University, founded in 1915, is a non-profit private university that provides a healthy learning atmosphere to students from all over the world. The university was founded as a women's college by the Loretto Sisters and became one of the first Catholic colleges for women west of the Mississippi River. Today, the College of Arts & Sciences, George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology, Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts, School of Communications, and School of Education provide over 160 undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
