Whitireia, formerly known as the Whitireia Community Polytechnic, is a leading tertiary education institute in New Zealand. The government owns and funds it. At 1986, the college was founded as a community college in Porirua Harbour. Whitireia's current name was adopted in 2011. They now provide a variety of programmes of study at the certificate, diploma, degree, postgraduate, and master's levels.

Campus

Whitireia offers classes at five locations: Auckland, Petone, Porirua, and Wellington. The Porirua campus is the major campus of the Whitireia, located around 20 minutes from Wellington. It was built in 1986 and is one of the most magnificent institutional sites in the country. Auckland Campus Located on Queen Street in central Auckland, near the bus and train lines. There are various study options available, including full-time, part-time, and flexible online learning. The construction campus is located on State Highway 2, just minutes from the Petone railway station, and there is plenty of parking. Construction and trade study programmes are housed here. Located on the junction of Cuba Street and Dixon Street in the centre of Wellington City,Te K?hui Auaha is the creative campus that opened in 2018.

It signed a strategic relationship with WelTec in 2012 with the goal of providing students with more academic options and opportunities.
