Yale University, founded in 1701, is a private Ivy League research university. Through its 14 schools, the University provides a wide range of undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and professional programmes. The undergraduate college, 12 professional schools, and the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences are among the schools. Yale University's School of Engineering and Applied Science provides graduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in biomedical, chemical, electrical, environmental, and mechanical engineering, as well as materials science.
