Columbia University (Fu Foundation) was founded in 1754 as a private Ivy League research university. Through its 20 schools, the university provides a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Cost of attendance

The institution also offers residential halls in Riverdale, which is about 20 minutes away from campus. Campus

Columbia University's Morningside Heights campus is located in Manhattan at Broadway and 116th Street. Several structures on campus are designated as National Historic Landmarks, including Philosophy Hall, which is known as "the place of the creation of the FM radio." The Morningside Heights campus, which encompasses more than six city blocks, is stretched across 32 acres and is surrounded by numerous academic hubs. In addition, the institution provides instruction through its associated medical schools. Manhattanville, which has been added to the university campuses since 2008, encircles around 17 acres of the city.
