The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is an open research institution created by Graham Wallas, Beatric Webb, and Sydney Webb of the Fabian Society. The university, which was founded in 1895, partnered with London University and introduced its first-degree course in 1901. Later that year, in 2008, LSE conferred its own degree on the pupils. The primary emphasis is on the development of novel ideas and research theories. The institution provides a variety of courses through its Departments of Economics, Accounting, Methodology, and Sociology, among others. It also provides specialist courses in statistics, philosophy, law, geography, the environment, and mathematics.
