The history of London South Bank University (LSBU) can be traced back to 1892, when Borough Polytechnic Institute was founded in South London. It was designated as a Regional College of Technology in 1956. London South Bank University now provides 170 undergraduate courses and more than 90 master's degrees. McLaren House, New Kent Road, Dante Road, and David Bomberg House are the four residence halls available to students at LSBU. Campus

The LSBU campus, located in the heart of London, has first-rate infrastructure and superb academic, recreational, and residential facilities. Forensic labs, Spatial Analysis and Informatics Lab (SAIL), psychology labs, Acoustics Lab, Digital Architecture Robotics Lab (DARLab), a Pub Lab, a chemical lab, interviews rooms, a physiology suite, and Therapeutic Radiography VERT Lab are all available. The Student Centre, Perry Library, Clarence Centre, and Keyworth Event Theatre are also located on campus. The Academy of Sports has a fitness suite, training zone, weight room, dance studio, and a sports hall with space for football, netball, basketball, cricket, badminton, table tennis, and volleyball. The institution also offers a nursing training facility in Havering, East London.

The School has been given "Accredited Centre Status" by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

Graduates can acquire a customised CV, interview training, internships, cover letters, and job or career development online resources through the LSBU Career Hub. The university provides good employment prospects for its students, who earn up to 80,000 GBP a year on average. Universal Studios, Mobix International, Channel 4, the BFI, BBC, Endemol, Buena Vista, and Tiger Aspect have recently hired graduates from London South Bank University.
