Ontario Tech University, formerly known as the University Of Ontario Institute Of Technology (UOIT), is a government-run research and higher education institution in Oshawa, Ontario. It was founded in the year 2002. In March 2019, the institution received its current name. The university is also a member of the Council of Ontario Universities and the Ontario University Athletics Association.
