Cost of attendance

Accommodation

Students at UdeM can choose between on-campus and off-campus housing. On-campus accommodation is only available to ordinary full-time students at the University of Montreal's main campus. Due to the limited number of available rooms, there is no housing for couples. Students who wish to live off-campus should contact the off-campus housing office, as the Bureau maintains a database of economical and conveniently accessible apartments and rooms near the university campus or in surrounding neighbourhoods. The monthly rent for a single studio on campus is 495 CAD. Off-campus rent in Montreal is moderate and affordable in compared to other major cities in Canada, making it one of the top locations in Canada for international students. The rent includes power, hot water, heating, and kitchen use. Off-campus apartments contain a separate kitchen and bathroom with a stove and refrigerator, and the annual leasing charge ranges from $5,500 to $100,000 CAD.

Campus

The main campus of the University of Manitoba is located on 65 hectares of land on the north-western slope of Mount Royal, which is unquestionably one of North America's most beautiful urban parks. The MIL Campus, Laval Campus, Saint-Hyacinthe Campus, Mauricie Campus, Longueuil Campus, Lanaudière Campus, and The Bureau de l'enseignement Région are the school's other campuses. The Science Complex on the MIL campus houses four faculties of arts and science departments: physics, chemistry, biological science, and physics. The MIL campus also has a state-of-the-art library and scientific facilities, which include over 190 cutting-edge research laboratories and scientific facilities. Nursing, psychology, social work, preschool education, and primary special needs teaching are among the specialist programmes offered at the Cité du savoir's Laval Campus. The Laval campus, like the main campus, is conveniently accessible to students because it is connected to the Montmorency metro station via a tunnel.
