Accommodation

Students at UdeM can choose between on-campus and off-campus housing. On-campus accommodation is only available to ordinary full-time students at the University of Montreal's main campus. Due to the limited number of available rooms, there is no housing for couples. Students who intend to live alone should bring extra money, at least $1,200 per month. Campus rooms are often furnished, with annual rent ranging from 4,800 to 6,000 CAD depending on location. Off-campus apartments contain a separate kitchen and bathroom with a stove and refrigerator, and the annual leasing charge ranges from $5,500 to $100,000 CAD.

Campus

UdeM's main campus is located on 65 hectares of property on the northwestern slope of Mount Royal, which is widely regarded as one of North America's greatest urban parks. The MIL Campus, Laval Campus, Saint-Hyacinthe Campus, Mauricie Campus, Longueuil Campus, Lanaudière Campus, and The Bureau de l'enseignement Régional are the school's other campuses. The Science Complex on the MIL campus houses four departments from the Faculty of Arts and Science: physics, chemistry, biological science, and physics. Nursing, psychology, social work, preschool education, and primary special needs teaching are among the programmes offered at the Laval Campus at Cité du savoir. The Saint-Hyacinthe campus, located in the centre of Quebec's primary agri-food zone, is home to the UdeM Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the province's only veterinary school.
