On-campus housing costs between £4,602 for 39 weeks at £118 per week and £9,945 for 51 weeks at £195 per week. The typical monthly rent for off-campus living is 600 to 800 NZD.

Campus

The University of Canterbury campus spans 76 hectares in the Christchurch suburb of Ilama. It boasts a wealth of facilities and amenities necessary for its students' professional and personal development. Students interested in sports and cultural activities can participate in clubs, sneak a peak into the massive library to learn more, relax and have fun in the cafe and recreational zone, and so much more. The school is surrounded by gardens and open spaces, and the Avon River is nearby as a scenic spot. The university also provides over 50 clubs for students to join, as well as a variety of recreational activities. There are four libraries on campus, as well as computer labs with 24-hour access, lecture theatres, laboratories, and numerous studios.

Accredition

The UC Business School's accountancy programmes are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and their programmes are fully accredited by Engineering NZ, meaning they are benchmarked with other engineering programmes worldwide. 

Jobs and Placement

The University of Canterbury's Graduate Employability Ranking 2021 is in the range of 201-300 among other institutes throughout the world. The institution gives its students CV seminars, placement workshops, group talks, and practise interviews on a regular basis to help them find work in New Zealand. Through internships, jobs, and an on-campus career fair, the university offers a wide range of job options.
