Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), a privately funded research institution in Worcester, Massachusetts, is approved by the Colleges of Worcester Consortium. WPI, founded in 1865 by John Boynton and Ichabod Washburn, is one of the earliest engineering and technology universities in the United States. Today, WPI offers more than 70 undergraduate and graduate programmes in a variety of popular disciplines. For undergraduate programmes, you must request information. Cost of attendance

Pursuing graduate degrees at a university is relatively reasonable, as tuition costs and the cost of living in the US are included in the 40,000 USD (29 lakhs) necessary. Students enrolled in undergraduate programmes, on the other hand, must pay a charge of 70,000 USD (41 lakhs).


Worcester Polytechnic Institute features eleven residence halls, two apartments, and four on-campus houses. There are 6642 students enrolled at the university, with 1285 of them being international students. Worcester Polytechnic Institute admissions are more selective, with a 59 percent acceptance rate.


Worcester Polytechnic Institute's 951-acre campus provides a variety of physical and mental health amenities. It is also dedicated to student development and counselling in order to better cultivate them. 60% of the students reside on campus. The university features 20 varsity teams that compete in NCAA Division III. Club sports provide students with access to over 30 different sports teams, ranging from ultimate Frisbee and rugby to ballroom dancing and pep band. Under certain conditions, you may work in the United States as an international student both throughout your studies and after graduation. It includes over 235 student clubs, and students can form their own clubs as long as they follow the requirements.


WPI is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), a nongovernmental, nationally recognized organization whose affiliated institutions include degree-granting colleges and universities in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and internationally.

Jobs and Placement

During the summer, Worcester Polytechnic Institute offers a Summer Internship Program that allows students to gain work experience. WPI offers a cooperative education programme that allows students to earn between $21,000 and $26,000 USD per year. Co-op earnings, together with scholarships available in the United States, aid with cost management. Cisco Systems, emc2, fidelity, Google, Hewlett Packard, IBM, and Intel are among the companies recruiting at the university.
